In a new project in Descript, you can create a video from scratch by hitting Record to record your camera, mic, or screen, or drag and drop to upload existing video files. You can make any edits you like using the auto-generated transcript or timeline, as well as add animated captions, music, and other effects.
Once you’re done editing, you can generate your shareable video link by clicking Publish and selecting Web link. Customize the access setting based on who you want to see it: Anyone with the link allows anyone to view it without downloading or signing in to anything, Public will make it discoverable by search engines as well, and Project access required means only people invited to your Descript project can view it. You can also choose whether to include the transcript, allow comments, among other settings.
Click the Publish button to publish your share page and generate your video link. From there, you can click Copy link to grab your link, or Open share page to pop open the web player to view your video. You can make updates at any time in Descript and republish to update your video link.
