Open a new project in Descript and drag and drop or upload your video file. Descript will automatically transcribe your video—you can cut, trim, and edit the video by editing the text as needed.
Select the video layer you want to speed up or slow down and go to Duration in the properties panel to adjust the playback speed. You can click and drag to the left or right to increase or decrease the speed of your clip. Or you can manually input a multiplier like 3x or 0.3x for more precise control.
Once you're satisfied with your video speed, you can continue editing your video or click Publish > Export to download it to your computer or publish directly to a supported platform like YouTube.
